Ingólfr Arnarson, in some sources named Björnólfsson, (c. 849 – c. 910) is commonly recognized as the first Icelander, when he became the first Norse settler of Iceland, together with his wife Hallveig Fróðadóttir and foster brother Hjǫrleifr Hróðmarsson.
