Bulgarians (Bulgarian: българи, romanized: bŭlgari, IPA: [ˈbɤɫɡɐri]) are a South Slavic ethnic group and nation native to Bulgaria and its neighbouring regions. They share a common culture, ancestry, history, and speak the Bulgarian language. Bulgarians form the majority of the population in Bulgaria and exist as historical communities in North Macedonia, Ukraine, Moldova, Serbia, Albania, Romania, Hungary and Greece.
